#HeartStrong Project

This Valentines Day, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta teamed up with radio station 104.7 The Fish, to bring love, support, and encouragement to children waiting for heart transplants in the Sibley Heart Center.

The entire Atlanta metro area was given the charge to get their communities, classrooms, friends, and co-workers together to make Valentine cards for these brave and #HeartStrong kids. Upon hearing about the campaign, our physicians immediately jumped on board. A card making station was set up near our break room, and team members were asked to stop in during their lunch break to make cheerful Valentine cards.

104.7 The Fish set up collection locations all across the city, where we happily donated our box of cards. After weeks of collecting Valentines from hundreds of people across the metro area, roughly 70,000 cards were delivered to smiling faces of brave children throughout the Sibley Heart Center.
