The 2015 Cartersville Has Heart 5K was another great success, thanks to the efforts our local community members! This year, Cartersville Medical Center and The Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter teamed up to host a 5K at the beautiful campus of Georgia Highlands College. Proceeds were donated to the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter, a local facility that provides temporary shelter as well as physical, emotional and spiritual support to men and women of our community.
Georgia Bone & Joint Surgeons, P.C. was pleased to be involved for the second year in a row. ‘We’re privileged to be able to help an organization like the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter. They do so much to assist our community members” said Georgia Bone & Joint Surgeons physician Dr. Wall.
Around 40 additional team members volunteered at the event. They helped with everything from parking to registration. Georgia Bone and Joint Surgeons athletic trainer, Lauren Pritchard, led the runners in a pre-run stretch. Our very own Beth Farmer, Dr. Wall, and Jeremy Williams were among the 100+ race participants.
